A smoking ban in Gladstone?

Citizens in GladstoneHow can — or should — Gladstone, Mo., address smoking in public areas?

This project provided different perspectives on municipal smoking regulations to Gladstone residents and engaged them in a discussion on the idea of a city-wide smoking ban.

 

What happened

One KC Voice conducted three community events in Gladstone:

  1. A panel discussion comprised of citizens and experts who presented different views about smoking regulations
  2. A community discussion that allowed residents to construct group statements that supported their position on smoking regulations
  3. A presentation of the final report and public hearing to discuss the results
